Figure 12 are examples of tires from various aircraft that have been confirmed to be out of alignment for camber. The upper set of photographs show the wear pattern of the tire both before and after the landing gear was aligned. A significant increase in the landing performance of the tire was gained with this realignment. The lower photographs are examples of severe camber wear on the shoulders only. The lower left photograph is a result of axle deflection while the lower right photograph was caused by a misaligned landing gear.
