Despite the many potential applications that are offered with the anisotropic grain structures there is a rich multidisciplinary scientific details that would have to be brought together, there is open questions on the sintering stages with a polymer, including the coarsening process being driven either by an Oswald ripening process or coalescence to obtain the anisotropy grain structure. There are also important rheological complexities to be addressed, there is the flow of the polymers in narrow nanoscale network spaces. In these nano and tortuous environments, the configurations of the polymer chains are known to be influenced from the boundaries and thin films of polymer, these size effects then impact physical properties that would in turn impact rheology, such as Tg, would all be subject to transient changes under the extreme conditions of cold sintering processes. So there are many complex issues that need to be integrated into a comprehensive model for the polymer assisted anisotropic grain growth that was introduced in this article[21,22].
