This to date is the largest mount I have ever done, having the honour to mount the largest bird of prey I wanted to create something very special. The ground work is made mainly from fbre glass artifcial rocks, the cabinet beneath helps to give the bird height but also included a draw at the front that holds an artifcial skull, artifcial egg and the remaining skeleton from the condor, a small book containing information of the life of the bird. The bird was mounted using the same techniques’from this manual other than the head was removed to model separately; I wanted to produce a skin mounted head for this special piece.
