Having known Dazu for many years, I’m truly encouraged by his progress, not only in business, but in life. I first met him at a café lounge in Kuala Lumpur. He was performing a song in Mandarin. Puzzled by how his Mandarin fluency was better than mine, I decided to speak to him. I discovered that he had lost his parents very early in life, and as a result, he had not finished high school (Malaysian secondary education). He struggled in the area of English proficiency and he was working a variety of jobs as a performer and a restaurant helper. He also endured a period where he had to sleep on the streets. This had to change.
