My favourite childhood story is The Mermaid Princess. I like this story because I don’t think there are bad people in it. Someone may said that the witch was a bad person, because the witch asked the mermaid for a voice, and let the mermaid pierce the prince's heart with a knife. In my opinion, the witch after getting the sound of the mermaid has keep her promise to give her a pair of legs, so the witch in my eyes is an honest operation person. All the price is the mermaid princess's own choice, the witch is not viciously framed the mermaid for no reason. The prince also of course is not a bad man, he just did not know the truth, did not recognize the princess.In the end of the story, the mermaid princess was going to stab the sleeping prince with the knife. But she could not kill the loving prince, so she threw the knife. When morning came, the mermaid turned into a water bubble. Although this ending is very sad, but it seems to be the best ending. Because the mermaid princess did not choose to kill the innocent prince, but chose to face her own results. She is a brave and kind girl, but unfortunately her destiny is not good.If I can be one of the characters in this story, I hope I can be the witch, because I think she was the only turning point to change this sad ending. I wish I could get the mermaid back into the sea in other ways, rather than stabbing the prince in the heart with a knife. Or I can get someone to know the truth and let him tell the prince the truth.
