Towards the salar, following the discharge through the ravines, the flow comes into contact with the loose detrital masses that make up the alluvial fans and most of the temporary flows are absorbed by percolation.Analysing the morphology of the drainage network and associated debris, it can be seen that towards the apex of the fan the discharge tends to concentrate in a single course while as it descends through the alluvial plane it branches out into multiple paths in the form of a fan; however, in all cases, a main channel is marked by the occurrence of waterflow in times of heavier rainfall.
