The Brain-based learning has been welcomed for the teachers and students. It believes that learning only occurs when it is corresponding with the naturally working rules of the neurons of the brain. Because Cercone (2006) states that each task are completed by the different parts of the brain through communication and coordination together. Based on the TPR method emphasizes that the importance of the whole-body cooperation in language learning and the researcher will further discuss the TPR method from the aspect of the brain-based learning.One of principles of the brain-based learning is that the people understand and remember best when facts and skills are embedded in natural, spatial memory (Caine & Caine, 1991). It means that the knowledge and skills are put in the real experience, which the brain will effectively acquire them. Håkansson and Ingemansson (2011) also points out that the learners has use their different senses to interact with the imitation reality world created by the instructor for directly acquired the knowledge, which is the best way. In terms of education, the teachers are required to take knowledge or skills combine with the students’ daily life for strengthen their interaction with them then further reinforcement those knowledge’s meanings to the students. Therefore, in the language class under the guided by the TPR method, which the students need to accept each word by the different senses and experience each word’s meanings through the whole-body movements in the class, then the teacher will also issues different commands to asks the students finish activities for make them to be familiar with those words’ meanings in their life. It reflects that the new language will not be mastered by the students through the simple lecture input and the new language only will be mastered by the students when the language is experienced by the students themselves through their senses or daily life.In the other hand, Cappas, Andres-Hyman and Davidson (2005) points out that cognitive and emotional is a cooperation relationship as another one principles of the brain-based learning. It indicates that emotion and cognitive is connected, in which emotion will affect the learning performance. Some researchers (Carine & Carine, 2002; Kumar & Patil 2006; Bora, 2012; Khalil, 2019) makes clear that the students can get best learning performance when they in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Therefore, the students’ keeping a positive emotion to the learning and the teacher helps to forming a relaxed atmosphere for the students are the essential key for the best learning performance. The class under the guided by the TPR method, the teacher will organize all kinds of activities focusing on the physical movements for the students and make sure their positive emotion are not broken and enjoy their learning in the relaxed atmosphere.
