In fact, the former is to avoid surplus and shortage of liquidity because it increases the cost of liquidity and the latter leads to a payment crisis. Therefore, making a trade-off between the two companies and maintaining moderate liquidity is the goal of liquidity management of commercial banks. The main challenges of liquidity management are first, how to accurately predict the liquidity demand of commercial banks, secondly, how to meet the liquidity needs of commercial banks, and third, how to achieve the optimal balance of liquidity, efficiency and security.
