Sustainability/Circular Economy: In the latest BofAML proprietary sustainabilitysurvey (2,000 respondents; Staphos Survey), over 60% and over 50% of UK and USrespondents, respectively, said that the environmental impact of a product’s packagingaffected their purchasing decisions. Of those that were willing to pay more, the topchoice in terms of how much more they were willing to pay for sustainably packagedgoods was 5-10% for both the UK and US at over 30% of respondents. Further, in theUK, 40% of respondents backed the banning of products that could not be easilyrepurposed or recycled.
