Problem 8: The data analysis ignored important sources of correlation, leading p-values to be drastically underestimated.example: Researchers conducted a randomized clustered trial of an education intervention aimed at preventing injuries. Five high schools were randomly assigned to receive the education intervention and five were randomly assigned to a control condition. Coaches in the intervention condition (n=10) attended a 1-hour educational workshop that taught a specific warm-up regimen that can reduce injuries, whereas coaches in the control condition (n=10) received an educational email. Researchers attended the teams’ games and matches during the subsequent year and recorded the number of times that the warm-up routine was implemented. They found that intervention coaches implemented the routine in 54/200 (27%) of games whereas control coaches did in only 30/200 (15%) games. Using a chi-square test, the authors concluded that the difference was highly significant, P
