Suchan argument underlines whyit is important to teachtranslation technology tothe translators of today and tomorrow. An increasing number of publications are presenting detailed descriptions of how particular tools can be incorporated into a more narrowly-construed translation technology syllabus, or a morebroadly-construed translation studies curriculum. For example, most of the papers in the Journal of Translation Studies 2010 special issue on teaching CAT fall into the former category, while work carried out under the banner of the Collection of Electronic Resources in Translation Technologies at the University of Ottawa takes a broad, holistic view and attempts to create the conditions in which a range of technologies can be easily integrated into courses across the translation studies curriculum.
