Organic Farm Vang Vieng restaurant which is also known as Organic Mulberry Farm restaurant is one of the well known restaurant in Laos. The founder of the Organic Farm Vang Vieng (OFVV) is Mr. Thanongsi Sorangkoun (“Mr. T.”) . It started opened in 1996 and he formed it with the goal of introducing the organic farming methods to the local people and wants to show that organic methods could be not only profitable but also healthy. Not only that he also wanted to assist and help the local people by supporting its community projects’ profits. The products that serve in the restaurant are from the farm.The Farm mainly focus on the production of organic mulberry trees, as well as the organic fruits, vegetables, poultry and goat cheese for the restaurant. The restaurant has also been rated as one of the tastiest and the most delicious food in town.The restaurant only serve 100% organic food and it doesn’t use the synthetic pesticides, fertilisers and artificial chemicals or GMOs. Organic Farm restaurant is famous for its Mulberry tropical fruit shake, mulberry tea and goat cheese.Along with the Mulberry products, homemade organic goat cheese, Lao desserts and pancakes are also available. Mulberry leaves are used in the production of mulberry tea and tempura. The berries use to make mulberry wine and shakes. The farm also keeps the goats to make dairy goats and use the goat dropping as the fertilizers for the farm. Not only that it produce smooth and goat cheese from the goat but also it formed a goat project which is about taking care of the goat and a breeding program. The Restaurant opens from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day. It serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.
