GROUND CREW EMERGENCY CONDUCTThe signalman will be facing the aircraft. He should move to a point where he will be safe.The hookup team may be under the aircraft at the time of the emergency. They should attempt to work along the right side of the load so that they do not have to climb over or go around the load to seek safety. They would then be able to move directly off of and away from the load. If the load is a heavy piece of equipment, they may wish to keep the load between them and the aircraft while they are moving. This will offer some protection should the aircraft crash.
