Objectives This is a summary of the performance test documentation for products manufactured and sold by Xylem Water Solutions Manufacturing AB. 2. Normal Extent of Tests 2.1. Withstand voltage test (Dielectric test) and Earth continuity test Withstand voltage test (Dielectric test) according to IEC 60034-1 is carried out after assembly but before performance test. Earth continuity test according to EN50106.Test pass without need to record. 2.2. Tightness test A check to see if the seal around the shaft towards the pump impeller are properly mounted and are free from leakage. Tightness test of shaft seal is performed with vacuum method before performance test. Test pass without need to record. 3. Performance test All pumps will go through an acceptance test before delivery. 3.1. Pumps (including mixers as pump, PP) All pumps will go through a performance test in clean water, in which head, flow, power, current and voltage are measured and, in some cases, overall efficiency is calculated. These parameters are measured at specified voltage and frequency, and tested according to the test standards ISO 9906-2012 or HI 11.6-2012. Information about these standards can be found under chapter 4. The customer can also specify another test standard that we have approved and have available in the test program. If the customer has required a test report in the order, it must be based on minimum five measure points. The measured points are, if possible, evenly spread over the pumps working range of flow. If duty points are specified, a measure point is placed at each duty point, closed to duty head. If there is a limitation of power and/or cavitation on the performance curve, the measured points are placed at maximum and minimum of the limitations. These test results are documented in figures and graph in a test report (see example 5.1 and 5.2). 3.2. Pump test procedure a) Production card and motor nameplate data shall be recorded and entered into the data acquisition system along with any specified duty point(s) if available.
